2021 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Launched, Priced At INR 3.18 Lakhs

India Kawasaki Motors has launched the 2021 Ninja 300 at a price tag of INR 3,18,000/- (ex-showroom).

The sports-tourer is available in three colours; Lime Green, Candy Lime Green and Ebony, however, the graphics differ over the three options.

While the design language remains as is in comparison with the BS4 variant, the dual headlights, sports faring, wide visor, split seat layout gives this Japanese two-wheeler an intimidating presence, similar to that of the Ninja ZX14R.

The 2-in-1 exhaust and the analogue-digital instrument cluster remain the same, despite the newly launched motorcycle priced considerably more than the BS4 model.

The 296cc parallel-twin motor makes a maximum of 39 PS at 11,000 RPM and a peak torque of 26.1 Nm at 10,000 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.

While the BS4-BS6 transition does see a small decrease in power and torque, although, at higher engine revs, the 179kg motorcycle comes roaring to life.

The bike comes with an approachable 780 mm seat height, a class-leading 17-litre fuel tank, (110-section front and 140-section rear tyres backed by dual-channel ABS.

The telescopic forks (37 mm) and a pre-load adjustable gas-charged rear mono-shock provide for a versatile setup, while a 290 mm disc up front and a 220 mm disc at the rear, both featuring a 2-piston calliper, handle braking duties. (MT)
