ASDC Keeps Abreast Of Changing Times

Promoted by the automobile industry through Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) and Government of India represented by Department of Heavy Industry and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC) has been continually developing and upgrading automotive industry for higher value additions through skilling to facilitate capital creation, leading to more economic activity and consequent additional jobs. Off late it has been focussing on digitalisation and Industry 4.0 to match the requirements of the changing scenario in the industry. Nikunj Sanghi, Chairman, ASDC, tells T Murrali, that “Organisations will need to upskill existing staff to be digital and tech-savvy.” Edited excerpts:
