Bajaj Auto Sales Grows 52% In March

Bajaj Auto reported a 52 percent growth in sales in March 2021 on Y-o-Y.

Total sales stood at  3,69,448 units in March this year as against  2,42,575 units in March 2020. Total domestic sales grew to 1,98,551 units in March 2021 compared with 1,16,541 units in the year-ago period.

The company’s two-wheeler domestic sales in March surged 84 percent to 181,393 units, while exports had a 32 percent rise. However, on the commercial vehicle front, domestic sales fell five percent to 17,158 units. Exports of commercial vehicles increased 64 percent.   

In FY21, Bajaj Auto reported a fall of 14 percent to 3,972,914 units from 4,615,212 units in FY20. Domestic sales declined 21 per cent to 19,18,667 units in the last fiscal as compared with 24,44,107 units in the 2019-20 financial year. (MT)
