Battery Smart Widens Its Network, Launches 100th Swap Station At Gurugram

Battery Smart, one of the fastest-growing battery swapping networks in India, has launched its 100th Swap Station at Kapashera, Gurugram.

Through this achievement, the company aims to provide swapping services for over 5,000 electric two-and three-wheelers daily.  So far, the company has powered over 5 million electric kilometres and has completed more than 1.5 lakh battery swaps.

Pulkit Khurana, Co-Founder of Battery Smart, said, “Every day we see more electric two- and three-wheelers rapidly adopting battery swapping as they find it a superior alternative to operating on fixed batteries with limited range availability. Our strategic partner-led model offers partners attractive income opportunities, which has helped us scale rapidly and meet the growing EV battery swapping demand in the region.”

Battery Smart, co-founded by Pulkit Khurana and Siddharth Sikka, was operationalised in June 2020. The company aims to create a USD 17 billion worth of swapping market by 2025. It also plans to extend its network to have swapping stations at every one square kilometre area in the Delhi-NCR region by December 2021. (MT)
