Dr Pawan Munjal Receives First Unit Of Ather 450x In Delhi

Ather Energy gave the first unit of their new electric scooter 450X Dr Pawan Munjal, the Chairman and CEO, Hero MotoCorp.

Hero MotoCorp has been a part of Ather’s since 2016 and has nearly 35 per cent of the shareholding in the company.

Handing over the scooter to Dr Munjal, Tarun said, "We have launched the Ather 450X across markets in the past few months and are now delighted to begin our retail operations in New Delhi. To kick-start this phase, we are happy to deliver the first vehicle in Delhi to Dr Pawan Munjal. Not only has Dr Munjal instilled confidence in Ather as one of our key investors but he also has been a mentor to me and Swapnil personally over the years. This is an extremely proud moment for us.”

Ather 450X has a light hybrid aluminium frame chassis by using premium colour and finish. The Series1 vehicle comes with translucent panels, which is a first for Indian roads. Said to be made in India, the translucent panels in the rear offers a peek inside the scooter. One would be able to see the cast aluminium chassis and the trellis frame, a unique aspect of the Ather scooters, under the seat. The Series1 comes with a high-gloss metallic black body colour combined with accents of red. These signature colours also feature on the 7” touchscreen dashboard of the Series1 scooters, with a special intro screen and subtle hints of red in the UI designed for the scooters.(MT)
