Goodyear Donates Healthcare Equipments To Fortis Escorts Hospital

Goodyear India has partnered with Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, as part of its annual CSR initiative to upscale the hospital's paediatric ward into a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

As part of the initiative, Goodyear donated critical equipment such as patient beds, hydraulic stretchers, syringe pumps, video laryngoscope kits, ventilators, and central stations to monitor patient beds (PICix CNS 16 bed), portable colour doppler ultrasound system, and an ECG machine.

Jitender Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad, inaugurated the upgraded PICU. Anil Vinayak, Group Chief Operating Officer, Fortis Healthcare; Sudhir Vaijanapurkar, Manufacturing Director, Goodyear India and Yogesh Gupta, Plant Head HR, Goodyear India, attended the event. 

Sandeep Mahajan, Chairman and Managing Director, Goodyear India, said, "We are delighted to support the childcare unit of Fortis Escorts Hospital. We always endeavour to support the communities around us, and this partnership is another step in this direction. With the onset of the third wave, the burden on the healthcare system has further increased. As a responsible corporate, we believe it is our duty to support healthcare providers. This partnership is aligned with our focus on supporting healthcare initiatives that positively impact our communities. These are indeed challenging times and therefore, a collaborative and participatory approach is needed to address the challenges that this pandemic has unleashed upon us".

As our children's ward gets upgraded, we will be able to cater better to the increasing demand in light of the third COVID wave.
