Before I start talking about the Indian cricket team and the amazing series victory in Australia, I would like to say it was just refreshing to see some good sports after a long time and not be inundated with news on the Coronavirus. With the Indian team amongst others saying that they always had so many games / tours, they had hardly any time to tone up having not played the game for months. The restart was bumpy, which was plain to see with a number of injuries to the players. Most of this happened during the tour to Australia. The Indians lost the first test by an abominably huge margin. But then, in a sense it was a good way to get them back into their senses that Test matches aren’t like T20 matches – the bio-bubbled IPL carnival they had in the UAE.
