Hankook Tire To Provide Tyres For 2022 Nissan Frontier

Hankook Tire, a global tyre manufacturer, will provide its Dynapro HT and Dynapro AT2 tyres as original equipment fitment for the new 2022 Nissan Frontier.

The all-terrain Dynapro AT2 tyre – size P265/70R17 – will offer strong traction in wet, dry and off-road conditions while emitting less road noise and producing an increased level of riding comfort. The company claims the new wider and more advanced footprint will enhance the tyre’s tread life due to the evenly distributed stress and uniform wear. The tyre has a 3-peak Mountain Snowflake rating, indicating robust performance even in severe winter conditions.

The all-season Dynapro HT tyre – size 265/70R16 – is optimised for all-season functionality and highway performance. The tyre has a unique cap tread that enables it to provide longer tread wear, enhanced traction and low rolling-resistance. The tyre also features a snow kerf and multi-depth lateral lugs along with button and semi-solid ribs that enable the tyre to provide good traction in snow.

Hankook has been an original equipment supplier for Nissan since 2013 and has provided fitments for models such as the Altima, Pathfinder, Sentra and Rogue. Both the fitments will be produced at Hankook’s plant in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Jeongho Park, Executive Vice President and Director – OE Division, Hankook Tire, said, “As the 2022 Nissan Frontier seeks to provide drivers with versatile on-and-off road performance, the Hankook Dynapro HT and Dynapro AT2 are the perfect fitments for the job. While the Dynapro HT provides drivers with balanced on-road performance, our Dynapro AT2 gives drivers on-road comfort with added all-terrain capabilities.” (TT)
