Hankook Tire Wins 2021 Good Design Award For Its Dynapro Tyres

Hankook Tire & Technology has won the 2021 Good Design® Award for its SUV/LT tyres Dynapro AT2 Xtreme and Dynapro XT, both of which were unveiled in October 2021 in North America.

The Good Design® Award is presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd for innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product and graphic designs produced around the world.

The Dynapro XT, Hankook’s first rugged terrain product, is designed to offer great off-road traction thanks to its high-rigidity polygonal blocks along with wide zig-zag grooves and aggressive saw-toothed sidewall design that protects against punctures. To prove its excellent performance in snow conditions, it comes with a 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating.

The Dynapro AT2 Xtreme, on the other hand, comes with a similar 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating but is also suitable for on-road performance with its noise-reducing tie-bars and staged block edges. It offers a longer mileage with a 60k mileage warranty, claims the company. To serve off-road purposes, it is equipped with aggressive high-depth sidewall blocks and cross-combined shoulder scoops.

Jimmy Kwon, Vice President of Hankook Tire’s Brand Lab, said, "We are truly honoured to receive the Good Design® Award with our Dynapro products. This proves that our design extends to performance and quality as well as the safety of our passengers. We will continue advancing our design capabilities through continuous R&D investments and joint projects to lead the future mobility.” (TT)
