Hero MotoCorp Sales Dip By 35 Percent M-O-M In April 2021

Hero MotoCorp announced total sales of 372,285 units in April 2021, down from 576,957 in March 2021. The 35 percent dip in sales is attributed to the COVID-19 lockdown applied in several key territories in India and the closure of plant operations.

Keeping with its commitment to the safety and welfare of its people, Hero MotoCorp shut down its plants in a staggered manner for four days from April 22 to May 1, but keeping in mind the severity of the virus, the shutdown is extended by another six days until May 9. Operations at the plants are set to start from May 10.

The company has assigned Work from Home for all the corporate offices. A small number of colleagues can enter the plant on a rotational basis to maintain the essential services.

Hero MotoCorp continuously monitoring the situation and aims to compensate for the production loss during the remainder of the quarter.(MT)
