A market leader in backhoe loaders with an estimated market share of 80 percent, JCB India has announced a transition to the new, stricter CEV Stage IV emission norms. The company has launched a new range of CEV Stage IV compliant wheeled construction equipment range. These include the highly acknowledged 3DX Plus and the 4DX backhoe loaders, the VM117 soil compactor, the 530-70 and the 530-110 telehandlers and three new wheeled loaders – the 433-4, the 437-4 and the 455-4. The wheeled loaders get a new engine whereas the engines of the rest of the range have been upgraded to meet the more stringent emission norms. The CEV Stage IV emission norms were scheduled to roll out six months ago. Considering the disruptions, including plant shut downs, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, these emission norms, that are unique to the construction equipment vehicle types, were postponed for six months.
