Michelin Launches Two New Mountain Bike Tyres

Michelin added two new products to its range of All-Mountain mountain bike tyres called - the FORCE AM2 and the WILD AM2. The new tyres are designed to meet the most aggressive trails’ demands and are tested by top-level Enduro racers.

FORCE AM2 is designed for hard-pack and mixed trials, while the WILD AM2 is designed for soft terrain. While the former offers excellent rolling efficiency along with grip under braking and cornering, the latter offers maximum traction for stability and braking.

The dual-compound GUM-X Technology used on the tyres provides a stiff centre with flexible shoulders, enhancing corner grip and puncture protection. The new tyres are designed to increase speed and longevity while maintaining weight and are available in 27.5inch and 29inch sizes with a width of 2.4inch and 2.6inch.

Richard Kornacki, director of two-wheel, Michelin North America, said, “The MICHELIN FORCE AM2 tyre and the MICHELIN WILD AM2 tyre feature a stronger casing, optimized compounds for better grip and a tread pattern with new technology for efficient braking. As a result, riders experience more speed and less chance for damage to the tyres”.
