Minda Industries Acquires 51 Percent Stake In UZ Chasys

Minda Industries has won a bid of INR 580 million to acquire 51 percent stake in the automotive lighting manufacturer UZ Chasys in Uzbekistan.

As part of the Uzbekistan government’s economic liberalisation plans, the government has divested some government-controlled entities like UZ Chasys through auctions. 

The acquisition hopes to further expand the company’s geographical footprints and expand in the Uzbekistan automotive market. 

UZ Chasys specialises in the manufacturing of automobile headlights and lamps, Apart from being one of the leading suppliers to OEMs in Uzbekistan, it also has significant exports. (MT)
