Tata Surpasses The 200,000 Unit Milestone With The Nexon

Tata Motors, India's leading car manufacturer, rolled out the 200,000th Nexon car from its Ranjangaon facility in Pune.

The manufacturer says the last 50,000 cars were produced in a six month period, with demand outpacing supply and production being limited due to the pandemic. It also says that Nexon is among the top three highest selling compact SUVs in the country, and is the first car to receive a full five star adult safety rating by Global NCAP.

The car was launched back in 2017 and has been given several updates to stay relevant in the market. The Nexon sales set a new record of 8,683 units a month in March 2021. The car is available in eight variants of diesel and twelve variants of petrol powertrains and the manufacturer aims to set new benchmarks with all the models they offer. (MT)
