Volvo Car India has launched its third petrol mild-hybrid model in India. The company’s flagship SUV, the XC90, is now available in its petrol mild-hybrid guise at a starting price of INR 8.99 million (ex-showroom).
The seven-seater SUV is the first product from Volvo Car India launched on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). In its latest avatar, the XC90 features a head-up display, an intuitive touchscreen for all car functions, navigation, connected car services and in-car entertainment. In addition, it also features the latest advanced air cleaner technology that measures PM 2.5 levels inside the cabin.
The XC90 continues to be powered by the familiar 1,969 cc petrol engine capable of producing 300 hp and 420 Nm of torque. The car comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an AWD system. In terms of safety, it comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, pilot assist, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring and collision mitigation support (front and rear).
