Volvo Car India Launches Two Petrol Mild-Hybrid Models
Volvo Car India has launched the petrol mild-hybrid models of its luxury sedan S90 and its best-selling mid-size luxury SUV XC60 in India. The launch of the new petrol mild-hybrid model aligns with the company’s aim to switch to a complete petrol portfolio by the end of 2021.
The new petrol mild-hybrid models come with advanced features that enhance the user experience. Volvo has teamed up with Google to source the Android infotainment system with Goole apps and services for its new cars.
The XC60 and S90 are powered by a 1,969 cc petrol engine that produces 250 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Both models are offered with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. While the S90 is an FWD vehicle, the XC60 features AWD technology.
Both models come equipped with the latest advanced driver assistance system that includes adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, 360-degree camera and more.
The petrol mild-hybrid models are priced at INR 6,190,000 (ex-showroom). Volvo is also offering a three-year service package with the new models at an additional cost of INR 75,000 plus taxes.
Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India, said, “Volvo has always been at the forefront of innovation. With the launch of these cars incorporating some of the best technologies and features, we just set the bar higher. We have had a good three quarters this year, which are a reflection of customer confidence. This has given us a good footing as we commence into 2022 with new cars. These models come power-packed with new feature offerings, which I am confident will increase the luxury mobility of our customers. With the introduction of these new models and the upcoming XC90, we will complete our transition to petrol portfolio.” (MT)
