YOHT Announces Price Hike From December 2021

Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) has announced a 4.5 percent price hike on all its products from 1 December 2021.

YOHT’s 4.5 percent price hike is lower than the average price hike witnessed by the industry during the past year. This low-price hike has only been possible because YOHT absorbs a significant part of the cost increases instead of passing them on to the customers.

Continuously increasing cost for freight and raw material has been cited as the reason for this price hike.

Koen van Gemert, Head of Finance – Europe, YOHT, said, “Price increases are what manufacturers least like to announce. And yet, given the current situation in the markets, this cannot be avoided. YOHT, however, is doing everything possible to reduce the burden on business partners to the absolute minimum.” (TT)
