Yokohama GEOLANDAR Achieves Early Success In 2021 ULTRA4 Racing’s West Series

It was early success for machines equipped with Yokohama’s GEOLANDAR M/T G003 mud-terrain tyres in the ULTRA4 Racing’s West Series 4800 class. The GEOLANDAR equipped machines finished first and second at the 2021 King Shocks Area BFE Beatdown round held in Utah, beating more than 20 competitors.

The ULTRA4 Racing Series comprises open buggies called the Ultra4 that compete on various terrains from endurance desert racing to competition-style rock crawls. The King Shocks Area BFE Beatdown is a five-lap race run over a rocky and hilly six-mile course (about 10 km).

The superior grip offered by the GEOLANDER M/T G003 on the full range of off-road surfaces over a long lifespan contributed to it achieving the top spot at the event. Before this event, the Yokohama GEOLANDAR has proved itself at many races, including a championship at the APL SMOKIN’ WHEELS 2018 race held in Guam; a class championship in the 2019 Tatts Finke Desert Race, Australia’s ultimate off-road racing event; and an overall championship in the 2020 BlueWater Desert Challenge, the final event of North America’s top off-road racing series, Best in The Desert.
